Computation cores in the Safety Critical ECUs are increasing, so the challenge with the code optimization to get the best performance out of the hardware is getting higher. To be able to meet this need, tools like the TASKING Compiler and Embedded Profiler are required to make best use of the Performance of the AURIXTM architecture.

Safety-critical software functions required in Automotive are traditionally placed in separate single-core Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Today, it is common to combine many of these single core ECUs into a few multi-core ECUs to save costs and power consumption. With this new process, functions with different safety requirements and ASIL-x levels must coexist on the same ECU where no physical insulation is provided. ISO 26262 requires that all software components be developed to the highest ASIL level unless they are partitioned and freedom from interference between the software partitions is established.

This seminar will deals with the key questions like what is the most cost-efficient way to reach ASIL B and what additional steps are needed to achieve the ASIL D requirements. In this session it will be shown how to get the proper evidences and arguments to seamlessly pass the qualification process for their E/E systems.

In this event we will have experts discuss the following topics:
