PEAK introduces its PCAN-Explorer 7 software with full CAN XL support, Python scripting, a new flexible licensing model for modern CAN applications and many more features.
PCAN-Explorer 7 is the latest generation of PEAK’s professional Windows software for analyzing, monitoring, and simulating CAN, CAN FD, and CAN XL networks. The new version adds full CAN XL support with bit rates up to 20 Mbit/s and payloads up to 2,048 bytes, addressing the requirements of next-generation automotive and industrial networks.
Engineers benefit from extended functionality such as multiple symbol files per connection, Python scripting for automation tasks, fine-grained trace playback with breakpoints, and support for J1939 FD. Visual enhancements like highlighted data changes improve signal analysis in real time.
PCAN-Explorer 7 is built on a 64-bit architecture and introduces a CodeMeter-based licensing system, offering single-user, floating, and trial licenses. All proven core functions of PCAN-Explorer 6 remain fully available.
